Harmonising Bond Method

Noticing a missing link for dogs who struggle to learn, Sarah launched the Harmonising Bond Method™ in 2025. This method resets the dogs nervous system and releases trauma & blockages.  Have you tried all areas of training yet feel like you've hit a wall? The HMB is your pathway to success.

Holistic Dog Training Linked with Positive Reinforcement Training Brings Change

Imagine you've been on a week long training course. You start out like a sponge, keen to get going and learn lots of new things,. But then someone on your table is over powering and talking over you, you start having a headache and feel a bit unwell. By Wednesday your pen has ran out of ink and you're feeling a bit tense. You begin to miss your home comforts and are feeling it sleeping in a strange bed and by Friday you just want to get through the day as best you can. This is what happens to dogs that experience trauma. Whether this be an overwhelming social interaction as a puppy, anxiety at being left or finding themselves in rescue. This is when they become 'shut down' and their sponge no longer absorbs the information we need them too.

This is where the Harmonising Bond Method ™ comes into play!

"I pride myself on complimenting holistic therapy and positive reinforcement training methods and always aspire to get the desired results the owners hope for. While I practice full positive reinforcement training methods, I am also qualified in Holistic Treatments and am undertaking a BSc Psychology Degree to better understand the human mind and how we can link our behaviours onto that of our dogs. I've found that through touch training, Reiki and Crystal Healing I have discovered a stand out approach to dog training. I love combining my knowledge of dog behaviour along with the emotional status of the owner to really obtain life changing results".

With a wealth of knowledge spanning over 15 years in this industry, Sarah gained experience working primarily in rescue, bringing with it experience of working with anxious, stressed and nervous dogs. She specialises in socialising and holistic training methods, and works closely with anxiety cases, confidence building, puppies and bonding practices for both owner and dog.

My journey into dog training began not as a professional, but as a client looking for help. When my parents first sought advice from a dog trainer, I never imagined it would spark the passion that would shape my entire career. I’ve dedicated myself to learning everything I can about animal behaviour and welfare. I completed my degree in Animal Behaviour and Welfare and went on to study a Master’s in Animal Behaviour and Training, working towards becoming a Clinical Animal Behaviourist. My mission is simple: to provide clear, ethical, and evidence-based training that you can trust. When you work with me, you can expect transparency, compassion, and science-backed guidance that puts your dogs wellbeing first. Together, we’ll build understanding, confidence, and a partnership based on trust, not fear.

I welcomed Mozzy, a puppy born with a heart murmur, into my life. As Mozzy grew, he began showing signs of reactivity and aggression towards other dogs. Looking back, I now know that several factors contributed to his behaviour; inherited traits from his parents, the stress of his difficult start in life, poor socialisation techniques, and the use of aversive training methods I’d been taught at the time. Mozzy broke his leg at just seven months old, he spent three long months in isolation from other dogs. After his recovery, his reactivity worsened, and in desperation, I went on to use more extreme aversive methods, including prong and e-collars. I didn’t realise then just how much these tools were affecting him, both physically and emotionally, and how much they were also affecting me.

As his behaviour declined, I was overwhelmed with guilt, sadness, and frustration. I could see that I was causing Mozzy pain and confusion. My mental health suffered as I blamed myself for his struggles and felt lost about how to help him. Experiencing that feeling of isolation and helplessness it’s what drives me now to support others in similar situations. Determined to find a better way, I began researching alternative training methods and discovered positive reinforcement training. It completely changed everything! Not only Mozzy’s progress, but my entire outlook on dog training and behaviour. For the first time, I found an approach built on kindness, communication, and trust rather than fear and punishment. It helped me rebuild my bond with Mozzy and gave me the emotional break I so badly needed from the stress that often comes with owning a reactive dog. Positive methods didn’t just change how I trained, they changed how I thought.

"I now want to pass these skills on to other likeminded dog owners to better their dogs world and how they see it".
